What a peculiar feeling it is to realize that the wedding I’m editing isn’t another friend or client, but my own wedding, and that the beautiful bride in these photographs is my wife. Oh what a happy and marvelous day it was, truly the best day of my life!
Perhaps the number one most asked question that I had from friends and acquaintances was not, where or when are you going to get married, or even to whom? But the question always was who is going to do your wedding photography? Well here they finally are, and the guy that took these images is a well respected photographer from Seattle, named Daniel Usenko. So with out any further due, I bring to you the story of Max & Julia.

So the next few images will need a bit of explanation. It all started with a prank that we played at my brother Paul’s bachelor party, and this is his sweet revenge on me. In the picture above Vitaly’s facial expression shows quite well the concern he felt for me as the bride that was waiting for me obviously wasn’t Julie.

Yana and Vitaliy are also concerned and wondering just what my reaction will be when instead of seeing Julia for the first time on my wedding day I’ll be looking at my aunt Anna.
Auntie Anna, found some of Julie’s perfume to make her deception even more clever.
Surprise!! now you may kiss the bride…. who is actually your auntie..
It was great, I totally fell for it, and for the next few weeks had nightmares.

This is our first look and at this point neither of us have seen each other. And I actually have a few tricks up my sleeve, Julia has no idea that what I’m wearing is a orange vest and jacket, a color that I later found out that she is least fond of.

And… She is not impressed… lol..

Who do you think you are? Can’t you see that I’m the photographer.

Johnny is the photographer and the little Diana is the nurse reflecting our occupations.

As you can see there are raindrops in the air, it lasted but a few minutes, and caused me a bit of anxiety at the time but later I felt that it added a very romantic dimension to the event.
